FNDT 151 Printmaking

INSTRUCTOR: Mark Johnsen

These printed works incorporate the traditional techniques of relief, intaglio, monotype, stencil making and hybrid printmaking methods. Over 12 weeks, students responded to themes of opposing forces, iteration / transformation and translation of a self-portrait from a digital source image to a handmade impression. Due to a global cotton shortage affecting the availability of cotton rag paper, some students responded and adapted to the constraints by printing on unconventional or recycled substances.
