The most memorable thing about Foundation year is that it let me meet so many new and talented people, and gave me a chance to work in mediums I’ve never worked before. The community is so welcoming and encouraging (bonus points for feeding us), inspiring me to challenge myself as a growing artist. Can’t wait for year 2!

Before coming to Canada I lived in Italy, and then moved to South Korea. All these variations in my life left me feeling that I didn’t belong anywhere. However, after I came to Emily Carr University, I felt relieved, because I realized nobody belongs to a place in today's society.
